Q: has anyone compared these to meguiar's supreme shine microfiber towels?
A: I have both and they both serve a different purpose. They both absorb water very well and are both worth purchasing. The Meguiars are not as thick, but do a wonderful job on glass. I use the larger 16 x 24 Chemical Guys towels for drying and polishing the body of our cars. Even though the Meguriars are thin, they absorb water very well. Since I use a waterless wash system, I also like to polish as I dry and that is the benefit of the thicker chemical guys towels. I think these two brands are the best out there. I have used a ton of towels and I always return to these two. I have found the towels that more than meet my needs so my search for a good towel is over with these two brands being the best. I will also add, size matters when it comes to drying your vehicle. I tried the smaller Chemical guys towels and did not care for them at all. see less
Q: I dont need 6 for my car. Does anyone use these for anything else ?
A: I know this is very late, nearly a year, but actually you do need more than 6 for your car. If you wash and dry your car, possibly. However, if you do any periodic detailing, or if you wax/coat your car, you'll still need more than 6. If you wash and dry your car, possibly. However, if you do any periodic detailing, or if you wax/coat your car, you'll still need more than 6. You should remember that if the cloth ever touches the ground, it should be thrown in the wash. Fold the cloth into quarters, then only one rolling swipe then you need to use a clean side. If you do more than one swipe, you could be depositing product back on to the car. For me, the top and hood take 2 each. I can get away with one on the trunk. On the sides, I use about 8, then the glass another 8 for all windows on the outside, 8 for the inside glass. 8 more for the internal wipe of excess protectorate. Then wheels and tires, for a near total of 50. You should also wash no more than 10 times before it should be discarded (so you need a method for counting them) or used to clean the inside of the engine compartment and the underside of the hood. If you are using only 6, you're not using them correctly. Personally, I prefer the Rag Company's edgeless tagless microfiber cloths and comparable in price. see less
Q: Are they washing machine safe or do they need to be hand washed?
A: You can use a washing machine. I watched how to wash them properly on YouTube. When you dry them in dryer I was told to use light heat on little time to help retain the fibers.
Q: Are these as soft as brown ones that you sell with leather cleaner?
A: I am not sure about the brown ones, but I bought these and use them for my motorcycles and cars and they work great. Very soft and absorbent..
Q: How do u wash and dry these towels ?
A: Wash with warm water and I use their microfiber wash as well. I air dry or dry on cool in dryer
Q: Why is the pack of 6 cheaper than the pack of 3? same size, 16 x 24?
A: Someone Jedi mind tricked them.
Q: Will these absorb liquid from carpet?
A: Yes they will absorb liquids.
